Abstract:
This interdisciplinary monograph contains the results obtained by the authors in the development of the theoretical foundations of selected problems of enzyme kinetics. It is not a canonical tutorial or textbook in the field of classical kinetics of enzyme-catalytic reactions, on the contrary, background knowledge in both formal (empirical, phenomenological) chemical kinetics and kinetics of biochemical processes is essential for reading comprehension. The monograph describes the methods of kinetic analysis in enzymology, and discusses some theoretical aspects concerning the specific problems of biochemical kinetics.
Intended for both experienced scientists and young researchers, graduate students – biochemists, biophysicists who carry out theoretical and experimental research with the aim of elucidating the mechanism of enzymes action, as well as studying ligand-receptor interactions, membrane transport, etc., using mathematical modeling approaches.
