Abstract:

This book contains short materials about the most prominent representatives of the national elite, from whose positions and actions in a crucial historical period (1917-1920) largely depended the vector of development of the Ukrainian people, its full revival, the choice of prospects for social progress, which was most concentrated in the search and experience of own state-building. Both the definition of the circle of extraordinary personalities worthy of special attention and memory of descendants, and the assessment of their personal contribution to the historical achievements of society receive in modern historiography different, sometimes mutually exclusive interpretations, which necessitates a new appeal to an extremely important problem.
Intended for scientists, teachers, students, anyone interested in the past of Ukraine.
