Abstract:
The monograph summarizes the results of research and development performed by scientists of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the NAS of Ukraine for the fuel and energy complex for the entire period of its existence, especially for the last 20 years. The principles of innovative development of energy and mechanical engineering are given. The work considers the optimization of processes and designs of turbomachines; modeling and design of flowing parts of power machines; energy and resource-saving technologies in energy; diagnostics, operation extension and safety of power equipment; modernization and reconstruction of turbines; modeling, identification and optimization of thermal processes and their thermal transformation; hydrogen energy technologies; energy efficient and environmentally friendly fuel technologies; use of renewable energy sources and alternative fuels in energy and transport. Promising innovative proposals necessary for the preservation and development of the domestic fuel and energy complex and ensuring the energy independence of Ukraine are presented.
