Abstract:
The development of nature conservation in Ukraine as well as legal basis for creation of protected areas network in the country are examined. Certain gaps in the existing system of nature protection are identified. The research is focused on the methodology of territory assessment for the nature conservation purposes in Ukraine and on its application in elaboration of the nature conservation prospects in the different natural zones of Ukraine.
