Abstract:
The monograph substantiates the concept of modernization of Ukrainian society from the perspective of the EU value and normative system. The authors reveal the universal meaning of basic European values such as “freedom”, “justice”, “solidarity”, “responsibility”, “equality”, “tolerance”, and demonstrate that these values can serve as the regulative principle for the development of the modernization potential of the Ukrainian ethos. Additionally, the integrative, orientational and legitimate functions of these values in the process of modernization of social institutions of Ukrainian society are shown.
Intended for scholars, university students, political leaders, public officials and anyone interested in the problems of practical and social philosophy, social ethics, and theoretical sociology.
