Abstract:
The physical principles of plasmonics, elements of the theory of plasmon oscillations in nanoparticles, bulk and surface plasmons, optical properties of spherical and ellipsoidal particles, shells and layered media, plasmon effects in nanoparticles of various geometry, clusters and metal—dielectric nanocomposites are considered. Examples of practical application of nanoplasmonics are given.
Intended for specialists in the field of theory of lowdimensional systems, nanostructural materials, and physical materials science, as well as for PhD and MSc students of universities of physical and engineering-physical specialties.
